Abstract
Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) is a novelnucleotide analog recently approved for the treatmentof both naive and pre-treated HIV-infectedindividuals. In vitro comparisons with other nucleosideanalogs indicate that the potential for mitochondrialdysfunction is low using TDF.
