Abstract
Last April, the European Medicine’s EvaluationAgency (EMEA) released a warning about thepotential for severe and life-threatening skin reactionsand serious liver toxicity in patients takingnevirapine (NVP). To use the drug safely, theagency advised close monitoring (every 2weeks) of aminotransferases during the first 2-3months on therapy.
