Abstract
Up to now doubts remain as to whether nevirapineand efavirenz are equally potent. No studiescomparing both drugs exist yet. The combination ofAZT, 3TC and efavirenz was shown to be superior toAZT, 3TC and indinavir in the Du Pont 006 trial(Staszewski et al. NEJM 1999; 341: 1865-73).
