Abstract

Efavirenz (EFV) is one of the most widely usedantiretroviral drugs. Australian researchers have recentlyconducted a cross-sectional, case-controlledstudy comparing patients treated with EFV for at leastsix months with a matched control group (Rihs, et al.HIV Med 2006;7:544-8). Self-administered, standardizedquestionnaires including the Depression AnxietyStress Scales (DASS), the Cognitive Failures Questionnaire(CFQ) and a questionnaire on unusual dreams, insomnia, fatigue, dizziness, depersonalization, and derealizationwere administered to the study patients.
