Abstract

Castleman’s disease is characterized by a non-clonal lymph node hyperplasia. Pathologically it isclassified as hyaline vascular, plasmacytic, or mixed cellularity types, and clinically it may adopt aunicentric (localized) or multicentric presentation. An association of the disease with HIV infectionhas been found. Many uncertainties remain concerning the etiopathogenesis and the optimal treatmentof this rare condition.
