Abstract
In May 2014, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new recommendations for the prescription of Truvada® as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for persons engaged in high-risk HIV behaviors, be they homosexuals, heterosexuals, or injecting drug users (www.cdc.gov/hiv/pdf/guidelines/PrEPguidelines2014.pdf).
