All articles published in AIDS Reviews are subject to a 6-month embargo period, after which they are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

During the embargo, content is accessible exclusively to subscribers or through pay-per-view. Once the 6-month embargo has expired, articles become freely available to all readers. At that point, readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts, or use the articles for any other lawful purpose, without prior permission from the publisher (Publicaciones Permanyer) or the authors, provided that the use is non-commercial, the content is not modified, and the original work is properly cited.
